Nino Tandilashvili meets the Attaché of the Delegation of the European Union in Georgia, Lieze Vanweimelbeke.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili hosted the Attaché -Team Leader, Green Deal, Connectivity,  Economic and Investment Plan, Delegation of the European Union in Georgia, Mrs. Lieze Vanwymelbeke.

During the meeting, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili highlighted a wide range of issues, including environmental management, ambient air protection, water resource management, sustainable forest management, biodiversity protection, fight against climate change, industrial hazards, chemical substances, and waste management, implemented reforms and achieved results.

 Mrs. Deputy emphasized the importance of EU support in the environmental protection area.

The parties also discussed the progress of two technical assistance projects funded by the European Union. The project "Support to Environmental Protection and Fight against Climate Change in Georgia" aims to support the Government of Georgia in deepening the European integration process, taking into account the Association Agreement and the priorities of the association agenda, while the project "Support to Waste Management and Development of Circular Economy in Georgia", aims to support the socio-economic and circular economy development in the country. 



The team leader of the technical assistance project " Support to Environmental Protection and Fight against Climate Change in Georgia", Mr. Rob Bukx attended the meeting.
