The Minister of Agriculture of Hungary inspected the fruit processing company created with the support of state programs.

As part of the working visit to Georgia, the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary, Mr. Istvan Nagy, and members of the Hungarian delegation visited the fruit processing company "Caucasus Organic Fruits" LTD. 

The Hungarian Minister and members of the delegation along with the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Otar Shamugia inspected the infrastructure of the enterprise created with the state support and got familiar with the fruit processing process.

 

The fruit processing enterprise "Caucasus Organic Fruits" LTD was built in Mtskheta municipality with the financial support of the Rural Development Agency. A total of USD 1.7 million has been invested in the enterprise, including state co-financing of GEL 500,000, and USD 500,000 as a preferential agro-credit.

 

The company produces various types of dried fruits, for which it uses local raw materials. The products are intended for export and are sold in Germany, Belgium, and Holland.

 

Members of the Hungarian delegation, together with the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Tengiz Nasaridze visited the village, Bazaleti in Dusheti municipality, where they got acquainted with the royal jelly production process in the bee farm of a beekeeper Vladimir Vardosanidze.
