Solomon Pavliashvili meets the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the Baku international exhibition CASPIAN AGRO 2023, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili met with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Mr. Majnun Mammadov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed transboundary disease-related issues. The conversation also touched on the importance of deepening cooperation between the scientific research centers of Georgia and Azerbaijan in the laboratory field.

"During the meeting, we discussed a wide range of important agricultural issues and addressed the need to share our experiences. Under the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2014, the Agricultural Scientific Research Center of Georgia and the Scientific Research Institute of Viticulture and Winery of Azerbaijan actively cooperate and conduct joint research activities. Recently, new studies have been conducted in our center, and I believe that sharing the results will be critically important," said Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili.

Georgia and Azerbaijan cooperate in various fields of agriculture, including the establishment of a  Biosurveillance Network of the Silk Road (BNSR), which contributes to the One Health perspective and a strong public health system.
