Nino Tandilashvili meets the members of the ENPARD Monitoring Mission
The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, met with the monitoring mission members of the third tranche of the fourth phase of the European Neighborhood Program for Rural and Agricultural Development (ENPARD, Phase IV, tranche III).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state of fulfilling obligations taken under the program.
Mr. Nino Tandilashvili thanked the European Union for its continuous support for rural and agricultural development and the environmental protection field in Georgia and emphasized the special role and importance of the Neighborhood Program (ENPARD) in the country's European integration process.

The conversation touched upon the wide range of issues regarding food safety/security, ensuring the sustainability of local action groups (LAGs) operating within the European LEADER approach, sustainable waste management, development of laboratory capacities, improvement of irrigation systems, and the importance of women's involvement in agriculture.

It is worth mentioning that, monitoring mission will hold meetings with the agencies responsible for the commitments of the fourth tranche and get detailed information on fulfilling obligations.
