The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili holds bilateral meetings in the Federal Republic of Germany.

As part of the government negotiations held in Berlin, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, held a bilateral meeting with the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mrs. Ophelia Nick.

 

During the meeting, the parties addressed issues related to deepening the existing and future cooperation between the two countries.

Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili emphasized the importance of improving trade relations, particularly by making efforts to boost wine and hazelnut exports.

The First Deputy Minister briefed the German colleague on the critical steps taken by Georgia towards European integration and expressed hope for the support of the German side in the future.

 

The conversation touched upon challenges caused by climate change, issues related to food losses, and regional challenges and possibilities of promoting the production of organic products.

 

Mrs. Tandilashvili invited her German colleague to Georgia. Mrs. Ophelia Nick, State Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Federal Republic of Germany expressed her readiness to strengthen cooperation and desire to visit Georgia to learn about the current situation in the field and plan future steps.
