Otar Shamugia, hosted the delegation of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Otar Shamugia, hosted the delegation of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea.

 Mr. Shin Jin-soo, Deputy Minister for Water Management Policy of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea, headed the delegation.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current and future opportunities for Georgia-Korea cooperation.
The Minister thanked the government of the Republic of Korea for supporting agricultural development and environmental protection fields in the country, emphasizing the importance of sharing Korea's experience with the Georgian side in the sustainable management of water resources.

 

The conversation touched upon the issues of deepening cooperation towards adopting modern technologies in the protected areas, increasing Georgian wine export, and sustainable management of water resources.

According to Mr. Shin Jin-soo, Georgia is a reliable and interesting partner country for the Republic of Korea, which is an important prerequisite for further deepening cooperation.

 

Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea, aiming to ensure the sustainable management of water resources in the country.

 

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, and Deputy Minister Shin Jin Su signed the Memorandum.
The Heads of the relevant Departments of the Ministry attended the meeting.
