UNEP expresses its full support for Georgia.
During the visit to Hungary, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, met with the newly appointed Regional Director of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Mr. Arnold Kreilhuber, in Budapest.

At the introductory meeting, the parties discussed current and future projects launched within the cooperation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and UNEP and emphasized priority directions. The regional director of UNEP expressed his full support to the Georgian side in implementing the recommendations.

Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili underlined the importance of the active involvement of international and donor organizations in mitigating climate change in Georgia and supporting the Georgian side in adopting environmental standards.
