Agro-Food Products Export from Georgia has Increased compared to Last year.

According to the data for the 7th month of 2023, the export value of agro-food products from Georgia amounted to USD 787.5 million, which is 27.7% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year. 

 

Georgia exported agro-food products worth USD 89.0 million to the European Union, which is 2.2% more than the figure for the same period in 2022.
Exports of beverages, live animals, and other products have also increased. A special increase is recorded in cases of alcoholic beverages, wine, non-alcoholic carbonated beverages, blueberries, and canned fruits. The data for 7 months of 2023 (January-July) is as follows:

 

• Wine export value – USD 150.5 million (24.3% increase);
• Value of export of alcoholic beverages – USD 98.8 million (46.1% increase); 
• Value of export of mineral and fresh waters – USD 77.1 million (38.2% increase);
• Export value of non-alcoholic carbonated drinks – USD 67.1 million (62.5% increase);
• Blueberry export value– USD 18.2 million (118% increase);
• Live cattle export value – USD 36.0 million (65% increase);
• live sheep export value – USD 15.3 million (66% increase);
• Value of fish oil export – USD 15.2 million (35% increase);
• Export value of fruit and vegetable juices – USD 9.7 million (38% increase);
• Laurel export value – USD 9.0 million (21% increase);
• The value of snail export – USD 368.3 thousand (49% increase);

 

 

According to the 7th-month data of 2023, honey was exported (USD 390 thousand) to 12 countries, and the top export market was the EU member states (Czech Republic, France, Germany). As of the 7th month of 2023, agro-food products were exported from Georgia to the USA, EU member states: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, China, Russia, and other countries.
