The Parliament of Georgia adopted the draft law of Georgia, "On creation and management of protected areas of Erusheti," in the third reading.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, submitted the draft law to the Parliament of Georgia. The amendment was made in the draft law resulting from the demarcation measures in Erusheti National Park.

Demarcation measures are implemented following the creation or expansion of each new protected area.

Erusheti National Park was established in 2021 in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza municipalities. As a result of the demarcation, the boundaries of the protected areas were determined, and the unregistered land plots of the population living within the borders were separated, including specific atypical infrastructures located within the boundaries of the protected areas and privately owned land plots.

The precise demarcation of the borders allows the local people to register and dispose of the land plots in their possession, which fall within the park's boundaries due to the national park's expansion.

The demarcation process follows Resolution No. 414 of the Government of Georgia of June 23, 2014 - "Approving the Rules for Demarcation of Borders of Protected Areas," implemented in close cooperation with the local population.
