Otar Shamugia meets with the representatives of the French Development Agency in Clermont-Ferrand.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Otar Shamugia, paid a working visit to France.
Within his visit to Clermont-Ferrand, one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the field of livestock - Sommet De L'elevage, the Minster met Mr. Tanguy Vincent, Head of Agriculture and Biodiversity of the French Development Agency AFD - Agence Française de Développement

During the meeting the sides focused on the implemented and ongoing projects of the French Development Agency. It should be mentioned, that land reclamation and land management are priority areas of the cooperation program between Georgia and the French Development Agency.Â

The program envisages the Zemo Samgori (irrigation) project. According to the Minister, it is essential to implement the initiated new project on time.

"We are actively working on adopting the international standards and European management systems. The support of our international partners and the sharing of their best practices is the most important factor in achieving the goals. I thank all international and donor organizations, including the French Development Agency, for many years of fruitful cooperation and for future plans," said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
