The Academic Council of the Technical University of Georgia awarded Solomon Pavliashvili the "Gold Medal" for his outstanding contributions.

The Academic Council of the Technical University of Georgia awarded the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, the "Gold Medal" for his outstanding contributions.

Mr. Pavliashvili expressed his gratitude to the Rector of the Technical University of Georgia, Mr. Davit Gurgenidze, and the Academic Council of the University at the award ceremony.

 

"Today is a significant day for me. Any of my accomplishments- scientific, research, or political, are linked to the Technical University of Georgia. Thank you very much for the appreciation", said Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili. 

 

Mr. Pavliashvili is actively involved in scientific activities. He has worked at the Technical University of Georgia since 1986 and is an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia.

 

The main fields of scientific activities of the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture are microeconomics, macroeconomics, agrarian science, sustainability of agroecosystems, environmental protection, waste management, circular economy, and sustainable economic development. 

 

Mr. Pavliashvili has published 16 monographs and more than 100 scientific works in different countries. The deputy Minister actively participates in international conferences and coordinates the adoption of circular economy principles in Georgia.
