Solomon Pavliashvili attends the World Bank review report.
To support green transformation in Georgia, the World Bank has published a new report on recent progress and hurdles towards transitioning to a green economy in many countries, including Georgia.
Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, participated in the panel discussion "Challenges, opportunities, and priorities of reforms to support green business in Georgia".
Â
‘’The country is implementing several reforms to achieve economic growth, move to a green economy model, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. There are challenges in the process of implementing reforms, which, I think, are natural when adopting innovations. Our country is at an important stage in terms of adopting numerous regulations relating to energy efficiency, the transition to a green economic model, and meeting European standards. Joint efforts are required from the state, private sector, and society to properly implement the mentioned regulations. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, together with the partner agencies, is working daily to effectively carry out reforms, adopt legislative amendments, and solve the emerging challenges," said Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili.
