The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture once again issued a statement in response to the Racha forests.
The forest was not sold in Racha, it is misleading information. The license did not imply the sale of the forest but rather the formation of a hunting farm with an investment of over GEL 5 million allocated for regional development and employment of the locals within the project.

As for canceling the license, due to the non-fulfillment of license conditions, we started the cancellation process in May 2023. There is no reason to hold protests, and we have explained the mentioned process to the participants of the rally we met in Racha and disseminated the information to the media.
Declaring the hunting license invalid will be considered by the law within the relevant time frame. Without agreeing with the National Environmental Agency, the license cannot be sold or given as a gift.
No one has contacted the Agency yet. The public will be kept updated on the progress of the administrative processes.
