Otar Shamugia: "Today, there are all pre-conditions for the license to be declared invalid".

"Today, there are all prerequisites for the license to be declared invalid," said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, at the end of the government session. The Minister briefed media representatives on the license aiming to set up a hunting farm in Racha.

According to the Minister, the National Environmental Agency has started administrative proceedings regarding the invalidation of the license.  The letters are sent to all relevant Agencies, and the information is requested. There are all the pre-conditions for a license to be declared invalid.

We should allow the Agency to complete this process. I want the public to know that the information has been extensively disseminated to people- protesting this issue at the Ministry today and demanding the cancellation of the license.  As we know, the mentioned protest started about a month and a half ago. However, since May, we have started speaking about the mentioned topic, that the obligations were not fulfilled, and that we decided to create a new protected area," said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
