Otar Shamugia: "The ongoing rally at the Ministry is absolutely groundless" .
At the end of the government session, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, provided the media representatives with the details on declaring the license for establishing a hunting farm in Racha invalid.
Â
According to the Minister, the ongoing rally - claiming the cancellation of the license is absolutely groundless.
"A seven-hour meeting was held in Ambrolauri municipality, where the Head of the National Environmental Agency and the Head of the Protected Areas Agency explained in detail to the participants of the rally about the processes in Racha regarding the cancellation of the hunting farm license and called on them to get involved in the creation of new protected areas. Despite all of the mentioned above, we see protests at the Ministry, which is certainly not desirable for anyone, least of all for me; People spend the night in a tent in cold weather when there is no need or requirement for it.
We have mentioned this several times, both personally and in writing, and we provided information on all of that.
Â
I would urge all of our citizens who are involved in the process today, ladies and gentlemen, to return to their families and await the National Environmental Agency's decision, which is a legal process, and I assure you that this decision will be made very soon, no later than the end of the month. I declare once again that all preconditions are today for the license to be deemed invalid." said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
