Nino Tandilashvili meets USAID representatives.

The First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, and the Director of the USAID Economic Growth Office, Mr. Michelle Koscielski, discussed current joint projects and prospects for future cooperation.

" We carry out several agricultural development initiatives with USAID to assist local farmers and develop agriculture. We also collaborate in the field of environmental protection, particularly in the management of water resources and work intensively, at the sectoral level, in fulfilling the obligations taken under the Association Agreement", said Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili.

 

During the meeting, the Director of the USAID Economic Growth Office, Mr. Michelle Koscielski, focused on regional tourism and Regional Water projects, noting that USAID is actively working in the mentioned direction. As mentioned, the Regional Water project will contribute to effective cross-border cooperation and management of water resources in the South Caucasus region.

 

Mrs. Nino Tkhilava, Head of the Department of Environment and Climate Change of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, representatives of relevant services of the Ministry, Mr. David Tsiklauri, Senior Adviser for Private Sector Development from USAID, Mr. Jordi Arimany, Regional Water Program Manager, and Mr. Gocha Lobzhanidze, Environmental Officer attended the meeting.
