Nino Tandilashvili meets with Hadas Ester Meitzad, the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia.

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, met with Mr.  Hadas Ester Meitzad, the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed future cooperation-related issues.

Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili emphasized the importance of the centuries-old friendship and partnership between Georgia and Israel. The Deputy Minister expressed her grief for Israel's military operations, stating that Georgia will always stand by the Jewish people.

''Our countries have a long history of friendship and successful collaboration, particularly in agriculture. Thousands of Georgian citizens, including many employees of the Ministry, have been trained and shared Israel's agricultural knowledge and experience over the years due to the support of the International Cooperation Development Agency (MASHAV) of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Today, while our country is waiting for official admission to the E U candidate status, the assistance of our partner countries and the sharing of their experience and knowledge are crucial for us to fulfill the commitments taken under the Association Agreement with the European Union. I believe we will continue active and fruitful cooperation with Israel and deepen our relations in the agricultural and environmental protection fields", - said Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili.

Mr.  Hadas Ester Meitzad,  the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, spoke about the two countries' long-term cooperation, wished Georgia success in the European integration process, and stated that Israel is ready to assist Georgia in all areas, including agriculture and environmental protection, and help the country in fulfilling its obligations.

The Ambassador expressed hope that Georgia and Israel will strengthen their ties and implement several important joint projects.
The conversation touched upon current projects and priority areas of future cooperation.

Mr. Vasil Gedevanishvili, the Head of the National Environmental Agency, Mr. Giorgi Zhghenti, the Head of the MASHAV program in Georgia, and the representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture attended the meeting.
