Otar Shamugia reviewed the Research Report "Achievements in Agriculture 2018-2022".
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) Agriculture Program presented the Research Report "Achievements in Agriculture 2018-2022" at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, Deputy Minister, Mr. Tengiz Nasaridze, and representatives of relevant Agencies and Departments of the Ministry attended the meeting.
The Minister thanked the representatives of the USAID Agriculture Program for their efforts and successful cooperation.

 " For many years, we have successfully collaborated with USAID towards agricultural development. With their support, we have implemented several successful programs and projects. Moreover, the joint, coordinated efforts of the state and international donor organizations enabled us to achieve positive results in many agricultural areas. The research report "Achievements in Agriculture 2018-2022" and the presented recommendations will allow us to more accurately establish priorities and plan future projects so that the sector can expand rapidly and effectively. ‘’ Mr. Otar Shamugia said.

 This is the third study conducted by the USAID Agriculture Program. The research report " Achievements in Agriculture 2018-2022" was prepared by Mrs. Ivana Dulić Marković and Mr. Goran Živkov, international consultants of the USAID Agriculture Program.
The research report covers the following areas: the impact of the global environment on the agricultural sector of Georgia, the total value added in agriculture, the development of the land and credit market, plant care and protection supplies (pesticides, fertilizers), planting material, mechanization, increasing the level of production, Increasing qualification of entrepreneurs, improving post-harvest management, processed product, quality orientation, total trade of agricultural products, product development cycle. The report also presents recommendations for promoting the development of the industry.
During the meeting, the parties positively evaluated the research carried out by the USAID Agriculture Program. As mentioned, the authors will present the report to the general public shortly.Â
