Kutaisi Zonal-Diagnostics Laboratory of the LEPL State Laboratory of Agriculture adopts a new diagnostic method for rabies.

Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Levan Kiknavelidze, Deputy State Representative of Imereti Region, Mrs. Tamar Dakhundaridze, Kutaisi Deputy Mayor and Mr. Irakli Guledani, Director of the State Agricultural Laboratory, attended the meeting at the Kutaisi Laboratory.

 

The parties discussed the laboratory capacities, innovations, and diagnostic methods for rabies and inspected the Department of  Animal Diseases Diagnosis, which is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

"The introduction of the research method for rabies in the Kutaisi laboratory will enable us to conduct timely diagnosis in Western Georgia and help people to obtain accurate research results and answers. The mentioned research will hasten the steps envisaged within the scope of state control. The State Laboratory of Agriculture, in collaboration with the National Food Agency, is actively working on the control and diagnosis of rabies," said Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili.

Representatives of the Imereti Regional Division of the National Food Agency and the Kutaisi Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory attended the meeting held at the Kutaisi Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory.
