Tengiz Nasaridze meets the representatives of the National Payment Agency of the Republic of Lithuania.
During the meeting with Mr. Fortunatas Dirginčius, the Head of the National Payment Agency (NMA), and the representatives of the Agency, Mr. Tengiz Nasaridze, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, reviewed the issues of institutional enhancement in the rural and agricultural development areas, including the convergence of Georgia's legislation with the EU law.
At the meeting, the parties focused on the importance of fulfilling the obligations taken under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement, harmonizing the legal framework, and sharing Lithuania's experience in the mentioned process.
"The Republic of Lithuania is launching a new project in Georgia, with the goal to share the challenges and experiences with the Georgian side on the path to European integration. Within the project, the visits of specialists have been planned, who will share their expertise and knowledge in the priority areas of the agricultural sector", said Mr. Tengiz Nasaridze.
The representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry, the Rural Development Agency, and the Scientific -Research Center of Agriculture attended the meeting.
