Otar Shamugia gets familiar with the harvesting process at the wine company "Bolero and Company" in the Gurjaani municipality

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr Otar Shamugia, and the State Representative, Mr Giorgi Aladashvili, attended the grapes delivery process at the company "Bolero and Company" in the Gurjaani municipality.


Notably, the wine company "Bolero and Company" incorporates several enterprises in Georgia, and as part of the Harvest 2024 initiative, grapes are received and processed at different sites.

"The company's factories are running their production lines at full capacity. The total processing capacity ranges between 800 to 1000 tonnes of grapes per hour. The wine company has successfully incorporated modern technologies, and in case of an abundant harvest, it has all the technological resources  to receive the grapes smoothly, " said the general director of the company, Irakli Bekauri

 

According to current data, "Bolero and Company" has already received and processed up to 5.6 thousand tonnes of grapes from the residents and continues the delivery process.

 

"The company invests huge resources towards diversifying markets, and we are working on increasing exports to EU countries. We export wine to France and Spain; furthermore, we work in the US market and are represented in the UK market as well. Our marketing efforts include continuously looking for new markets," said Irakli Bekauri.

‘’Bolero and Company’’ exports wine to more than ten countries, including France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, and China.
