The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, meets the participants of the government internship program.
"I would like to congratulate you on participating in the program and thank you for your choice. This Prime Minister's paid internship initiative allows thousands of graduates, including you, to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
 "I am pleased that, alongside other interesting professions, we have representatives from shortage occupations such as geology, veterinary medicine, food safety, viticulture, and winemaking. I want to inform you that, based on your dedication and commitment, upon completing your internship, you will be offered a unique opportunity to work within the Ministry and its agencies, with prospects for career advancement. It is essential that you continue to serve our country in the future, and we will fully support motivated young professionals," said Otar Shamugia.
Approximately 50 young people are undergoing a four-month paid internship in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and its agencies as part of the government program.
During the meeting, the Minister discussed the Ministry's actions and emphasized the importance of environmental and agricultural development promotion programs.
Minister Shamugia stated that the Ministry is actively working toward fulfilling commitments taken under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement and other international agreements.

It is worth mentioning that, on the initiative of the Government of Georgia, within the government program, young people will undergo a four-month paid internship in state institutions from September 2024. One of the most crucial variables used while selecting applicants is the student's academic achievement.
