National Farmer's Day Celebrated on November 20
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr Otar Shamugia, extended his heartfelt congratulations to farmers across Georgia in honour of National Farmer's Day.
Â
Otar Shamugia: "The development of Georgian agricultural production has been a top state priority for over a decade. Through creating and launching various programs, the government has supported access to preferential financial resources, modern agricultural machinery, contemporary education, and international markets.
Â
Moreover, land reclamation infrastructure is developing, and the number of processing and storage companies is expanding with targeted assistance. For over a decade, Georgian farmers and entrepreneurs, with state backing, have cultivated high-quality products that are in demand both locally and globally. Their tireless efforts are a cornerstone of our country’s economic growth. Since 2015, we have been celebrating Farmer's Day annually on November 20.
Â
On this special day, we honour our farmers for their dedication and resilience and for showcasing Georgia's potential by developing unique products and exporting them worldwide. I extend my warmest congratulations to all farmers on National Farmer's Day and wish them even greater strength and success!
