In 2024, Georgia exported USD 236 million worth of fruit, marking a 14% increase compared to 2023. After beverages, fruit remains the country’s second-largest export category, accounting for 14% of total agri-food exports.

The rise in fruit exports is primarily driven by a 21% increase in hazelnut exports (USD 17.4 million), a 33% surge in blueberry exports (USD7 million), and a 13% growth in peach and nectarine exports (USD 3.1 million).

The total value of hazelnut exports in 2024 reached USD 100.7 million, with the European Union serving as the primary market. Exports to the EU amounted to USD 63.7 million, while other notable destinations included Armenia (USD 5 million) and Russia (USD 3.5 million) in 2024.

Blueberry exports totalled USD 28.2 million, with Russia as the dominant market, accounting for USD 24.3 million in sales. The European Union followed, importing USD 2.4 million worth of blueberries.
Peach and nectarine exports during the reporting period amounted to USD 27.9 million.

Notably, processed fruit exports saw a significant 80% rise, reaching USD 42.5 million (7.2 thousand tonnes), an increase of USD 18.9 million compared to the previous year.
