Georgia’s Hazelnut Exports Reach USD 93.1 Million Over Eight Months.
From August 1, 2024, to March 26, 2025, Georgia exported 15,000 tonnes of hazelnuts, generating revenue of USD 93.1 million. The average export price rose by 15% compared to the same period last year, reaching USD 6.23 per kilogram.
The top export countries included European Union markets, specifically Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Beyond the EU, Georgian hazelnuts were also exported to Armenia, China, Turkey, Israel, Russia, and Ukraine.
Compared to the previous year, the export volume increased by 2,600 tonnes (21%), while the total value surged by USD 25.9 million (39%), highlighting the growing demand for Georgian hazelnuts in global markets.
