Minister hosted the EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell
 The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili met with the EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell. The importance of strategic partnership with the European Union as well as assistance provided by the European Union over the years in Georgia through various budgetary programs and instruments - was stressed by the Minister at the meeting, who also underlined the importance of successful reforms implemented in the environmental and agrarian fields after merging two governmental agencies and brought forward the achieved results.
Moreover, the development of agriculture and rural households, farmers to have an access to finances and improvement of services for farmers have been discussed by the participants, who positively evaluated results achieved under the frame of the ENPARD.
Levan Davitashvili emphasized, that "European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development in Georgia" is one of the most important assistance, that Georgia has received from the EU for agriculture and rural development.
The Minister thanked the representation of the European Union for its support provided in the sector over the years.
The EU Ambassador expressed his willingness to continue close cooperation with Georgia.Â
