According to data from 2025, exports of potatoes, nuciferous crops, and processed nuts saw a significant increase compared to the same period of the previous year.


According to data as of April 21, 2025, Georgia has seen a substantial increase in the export of key agricultural products compared to the same period in the previous year. Notable growth was observed in the exports of potatoes, nuciferous crops nuts (primarily hazelnuts), processed nuts, and pome fruits (mainly apples).

 

Potato exports experienced a dramatic rise, increasing by USD 18.5 million—a 44-fold growth—reaching a total of USD 18.9 million.
Nut exports grew by USD 10.6 million (a 42% increase), totalling USD 35.8 million. The European Union remains the largest market, accounting for USD 19.0 million of exports, followed by Turkey with USD 1.7 million worth of exports.
Exports of processed nuts nearly doubled, rising by USD 9.5 million (97%) to USD 19.3 million.

 

Exports of pome fruits also surged, increasing by USD 5.4 million—a 5.4-fold rise—amounting to USD 6.7 million.

 

These products now rank among Georgia’s top agricultural exports in 2025, alongside alcoholic beverages at USD 68.8 million, natural grape wines at USD 64.1 million, nuts at USD 35.8 million, processed nuts at USD 19.3 million, and potatoes at USD 18.9 million.
