David Songulashvili Visits "Winery Vine Ponto" in Telavi.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. David Songulashvili, along with Kakheti State Representative, Mr. Giorgi Aladashvili, Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Kadagishvili, and Director of the Rural Development Agency, Mr. Giorgi Darchia, visited the grape processing facility of "Winery Vine Ponto" in Telavi.
“Winery Vine Ponto” is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency. Approximately GEL 1 million has been invested in the enterprise, of which GEL 600,000 was provided through the Preferential Agrocredit program. The winery, which owns a 3-hectare vineyard, produces 150,000 bottles of wine annually and employs six full-time and twelve seasonal workers.
The company sells its products domestically and abroad, with exports reaching the USA, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
"Winery Vine Ponto" has received international acclaim, earning gold and silver medals at the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC):

Minister Songulashvili underscored the importance of producing high-quality Georgian wine, which contributes to building international recognition and trust. He noted that the success of “Winery Vine Ponto” at IWSC is a testament to the exceptional quality of its wines. According to the Minister, participation in international competitions and exhibitions is an excellent platform for attracting trade partners, expanding export markets, and ultimately increasing wine sales.
The International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) has been held for over 50 years, and is regarded as one of the most prestigious global contests for evaluating and honoring the finest wines and spirits.
