David Songulashvili Attended the Consecration of the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in Arkhiloskalo

Bishop Theodore consecrated the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Church in Arkiloskalo. Built from 2002 to 2022 through Nikoloz Beniaidze leadership and community donations, the church marks a significant local milestone.

“Arkhiloskalo is one of the historical villages; from here, one can clearly see the Azerbaijani territory on the left bank of the Alazani River, and Georgia on the right bank. Its significance stems not only from its location near the border but also from its rich historical past. Building a church in this place is a symbolic and historically important event. I wholeheartedly congratulate the people of Arkhiloskalo, the entire municipality, and, of course, our country on this remarkable day. May this church stand as a testament to our shared heritage and enduring unity for generations to come,” said Mr. David Songulashvili.

Alongside Minister Songulashvili, the consecration ceremony was attended by the State Representative in the Kakheti region, Mr. Giorgi Aladashvili; the Member of Parliament of Georgia representing Gurjaani, Sagarejo, Dedoplistskaro, and Sighnaghi municipalities, Mr. Gia Benashvili; and the Mayor of Dedoplistskaro Municipality, Mr. Nikoloz Janiasvili.
