David Songulashvili Observes Non-Standard Apple Delivery Process at “Geo Concentrate”.

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr.  David Songulashvili, visited the fruit processing company “Geo Concentrate”, where he observed the non-standard apples delivery process.

 
 “Geo Concentrate’’ LLC is among the enterprises officially registered in the Coordinating Center, established to support the sale of non-standard apples. Currently, the enterprise has processed over one ton of non-standard apples under the state program.

As part  of the state program, 14 fruit processing enterprises across various regions are purchasing non-standard apples, including 7 enterprises in the Shida Kartli region, 2 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 1 enterprise each in Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti regions.

Under the Industrial Apple Sales Promotion Program, fruit processing companies that purchase non-standard apples for no less than 27 tetri per kilogram by December 15, 2025, are eligible to receive a state subsidy. The Rural Development Agency provides a 10 tetri subsidy per kilogram of non-standard apples purchased.


Minister Songulashvili was accompanied by Mr. Lasha Dolidze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture; Mr. Simon Gulgeldani, State Representative in the Shida Kartli Region; and Mr. Giorgi Avaliani, Acting Director of the Rural Development Agency.
