Solomon Pavliashvili Participated in a Conference on Circular Economy in Lisbon

Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, attended the 25th Conference on Circular Economy in Lisbon, Portugal, where parties discussed innovative technologies for rubber-modified asphalt.

In his address, Mr. Pavliashvili extensively described the legislative and institutional reforms Georgia has implemented in the field of circular economy, emphasizing their importance in fulfilling the country’s EU integration commitments.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of incorporating modern technologies into infrastructure projects, grounded in the principles of the circular economy. According to the Deputy, achieving effective outcomes through the adoption of new approaches requires close cooperation between the public and private sectors.


Mr. Batu Gurjidze, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, along with representatives from the relevant departments of both the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Ministry of Infrastructure, including organizations holding extended producer responsibility in the tire recycling sector in Georgia, accompanied Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili to Lisbon.
