The fifth meeting of the Project ‘’Global Forest Watch "(GFW) National Advisory Board of Georgea
The fifth meeting of the project "Global Forest Watch" (GFW) Advisory Board was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. Karlo Amirgulashvili, Head of the Biodiversity and Forestry Department chaired the meeting.
The participants reviewed activities implemented under the frame of the Global Forest Watch (GFW) project and drew their attention to the planned events.
The presentation was made on the forest and land use Atlas - atlas.mepa.gov.ge and forest and land use portal gis.mepa.gov.ge. The information system based on the new technology will significantly facilitate to the systematization of information streams related to the forest, biodiversity and land use- was noted at the meeting.
The representatives of the sectoral agencies and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.
