David Songulashvili: “Relations Between Georgia and China Have Entered a New Stage”
According to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the recent visit of the Georgian Government delegation to the People’s Republic of China once again underscored the importance of the relationship between the two countries.
“Regarding our Ministry’s responsibilities, important Agreements were signed in environmental protection and agricultural areas. Memorandums of Cooperation were also concluded. Particularly, cooperation on air quality, protected areas, ecotourism, and waste management was emphasized,” stated Mr. David Songulashvili.
The Minister focused on cooperation with China in the agricultural sector, while emphasizing the importance of sharing China’s experience in increasing productivity through modern technologies.
“I would like to highlight the Agreement that opens the Chinese market to Georgian poultry meat exports. This significant deal creates new investment opportunities in the sector, granting Georgia access to one of the world’s largest markets. The visit to China, led by the Prime Minister, is especially noteworthy in this context,” stated Mr. David Songulashvili.
