David Songulashvili: “ A key challenge we face is the shortage of specialists in the areas overseen by our Ministry, particularly in environmental protection and agriculture.”
According to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, ensuring access to knowledge and technology is a key priority.Within the new design of the Rural Development Agency’s program, an Agency under the Ministry includes an option to bring in foreign specialists.
During visits to the regions, one of the recurring requests from farmers was precisely access to knowledge.
“The work carried out on this issue has prompted the reforms we have implemented both in this area and beyond.
Accordingly, from the beginning of the new year, our programs will be completely revised and tailored—both in terms of accessibility and service delivery, and substantively—fully adapted to farmers and the challenges we face,” noted Mr. David Songulashvili.
