Nino Tandilashvili: “Our regional meetings with farmers revealed several key issues, which were subsequently integrated into specific programs and support mechanisms.”
The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, emphasized the importance of meetings with farmers in the regions and the need to take their views into account while shaping state programs. According to the First Deputy Minister, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, together with representatives of the relevant departments, regularly meets with farmers to hear their needs on the ground and improve state programs as much as possible.“ The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture regularly holds meetings with farmers in the regions, with those who already benefit from state programs such as Plant the Future, the Preferential Agrocredit, and others, as well as with those who wish to participate in the existing programs. We listen to farmers’ needs on site and make corresponding adjustments to our programs so that they are as well-aligned as possible with farmers’ requirements. In recent months, numerous such amendments have been made across different programs. Our main goal is to understand the needs of farmers. During these meetings, many issues have been identified, which were subsequently incorporated into concrete programs and support mechanisms,” stated Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili.
