Meeting with the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic

 The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nodar Kereselidze hosted the Parliamentary Delegation, Committee on Environment of the Czech Republic. 
The Czech Delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Environment, Dana Balcarova. At the meeting, the sides addressed perspectives of bilateral environmental cooperation and highlighted climate change, sustainable development of forest resources, water resources management and waste management related issues. According to Nodar Kereselidze, environmental protection is one of the priority directions of the government and introduced the Chamber of Deputies with the concept of green economy in the context of environmental policy.
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Nino Tandilashvili underlined the importance of reform implemented in the forestry sector and drew her attention to the obligations taken by Georgia since 2016 after signing ‘’Paris Agreement on Climate Change".
The readiness of Georgia for sustainable development of environment is very important -was noted by  the Chairman of the Committee on Environment of the Czech Republic, Dana Balcarova, who also expressed willingness of Czech side to share their experience with Georgian partners and further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
