Meeting with the WIPO Executive Director
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili met with the Executive Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Sherif Saadallah.The sides discussed future cooperation issues between Georgia and WIPO.
The Minister underlined the importance of WIPO support to Georgia and drew his attention to the issues concerning geographical indications. At the meeting the two sides discussed the importance of developing a master program in the field of intellectual property.
According to Sheriff Saadallah, the World Intellectual Property Organization has a good partner relation with Georgia and stressed Georgia’s potential as a regional hub in the educational field. The Head of National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia “Sakpatenti”,Nikoloz Gogiladze also attended the meeting held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
