Lasha Avaliani: “We aim to ensure that interested parties can actively take part in the dog adoption process ''
“ Through the relevant platform, interested persons will receive advance information about the locations where dogs will be taken by the teams, including details of the schedule,” noted Mr. Lasha Avaliani, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation, stressing that clear and effective communication helps prevent any misinterpretation of the process.
“Active collaboration between the parties is essential. Accordingly, once the locations and schedules have been announced in advance, caregivers are not permitted to take animals from the site independently. On the contrary, our goal is to ensure that interested parties can be actively involved in the process. If there is a designated caregiver for an animal, they can receive the handover document. This ensures transparency and traceability of the process.
Additionally, I would reiterate that animals should generally be returned to their original locations, with a few exceptions. For example, in the case of kindergartens, many parents have expressed concerns about animals being returned directly to the school gates. In such cases, the animals may be returned to a nearby area rather than directly at the entrance,” stated Mr. Avaliani.
