David Songulashvili met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Italian company EUROVO, Silvia Lionello
During his official visit to Italy, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, met with the Chief Executive Officer of one of the largest egg-producing companies, EUROVO, Mrs. Silvia Lionello.During the visit, the company’s CEO, together with representatives of the relevant departments, guided the Georgian delegation through its facilities and presented modern egg production models, as well as efficient industrial management systems.
Particular emphasis was placed on biosecurity standards and best practices in farm management, which ensure the production of high-quality products and contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
“We hope to collaborate with Georgia and implement joint projects, sharing our knowledge and experience that we have gained throughout the years. We are expecting a long-term partnership with Georgia,” said EUROVO CEO Mrs. Silvia Lionello.
“Egg production represents one of the important sectors of agriculture in Georgia. Accordingly, it is essential to share all best practices that will ensure the achievement of high biosecurity standards and contribute to the sustainable development of the sector,” stated Mrs. David Songulashvili.
The Deputy Minister Mr. Giorgi Tskrialashvili, Mr. Theodorico Nanni, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Georgia, Mrs. Natalia Kordzaia, Consul General of Georgia in Milan, and Mr. David Chitaishvili, Head of the Department of European Integration and International Relations of the Ministry, accompanied the Minister.
