David Songulashvili met with Francesco Spanoli, President of the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige

During his working visit to Verona, Italy, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, met with Mr. Francesco Spanoli, President of the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige, an agricultural institution.


The Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige is one of the oldest agricultural institutes and wine schools in Europe, bringing together agricultural education, advanced research, and professional training programs.


The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of scientific research and education. Particular attention was given to the potential implementation of joint projects in the viticulture and winemaking sector.


During the meeting, Minister Songulashvili emphasized the importance of enhancing the qualifications of young scientists, which could be achieved through exchange programs and targeted training initiatives.


Mrs. Tamar Liluaishvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Italian Republic; Mr. Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency; and Mr. David Chitaishvili, Head of the Department of International Relations and European Integration at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, attended the meeting.
