During the official visit to Italy, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, met with the owners and leadership of the multi-profile agro-industrial company “Mazzoni”.
“Mazzoni” is a leading agro-industrial company specializing in the production and sale of fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as nursery materials and new plant varieties.
“Our agriculture sector places particular importance on increasing productivity and ensuring food security. Therefore, gaining access to best practices in this field serves precisely this purpose. Cooperation with leading companies provides a valuable opportunity to access knowledge and technology, which will, in turn, contribute to strengthening agricultural sector in our country. The interest of large and successful companies in Georgia is crucial for us. I am confident that this cooperation will enable our agriculture to move to a new level, both in terms of quality and development,” stated Mr. David Songulashvili.

Particular attention was given to opportunities related to our technological, scientific research, nursery, and breeding activities, which we widely apply in Italy, as well as the potential for their implementation in Georgia. We hope that our meeting will serve as the foundation for results-oriented cooperation,” said Mr. Luigi Mazzoni, CEO of the company.
