Ministry officials review agrarian reform with sectoral associations
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Lasha Dolidze, met with representatives of associations operating in the agricultural sector. During the working meeting, participants discussed the main directions of the program developed within the agrarian reform, which will be made public in the near future.Mr. Dolidze provided a detailed overview of the reform, which aims to strengthen the country's export potential and enhance its food security. According to him, the Government has been implementing a targeted policy to support the development of the agricultural sector for more than ten years, creating a solid foundation for the sector to transition to a new stage of development.
“Today’s meeting with sectoral associations aims to harness existing experience and move to a qualitatively new stage of development. This includes strengthening export positions and contributing to the country’s food security. To achieve these goals, several modifications are planned, which we intend to implement through the new program,” stated Mr. Lasha Dolidze.
Representatives of sectoral associations noted that dialogue in such a format is essential for implementing an effective, results-oriented reform.
The Deputy Minister, Mr. Lasha Avaliani, Director of the Rural Development Agency, Mr. Zurab Gozalishvili, Director of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture, Mr. Levan Ujmajuridze, and representatives of the relevant Departments of the Ministry, attended the meeting.
