Lasha Dolidze: “Based on experience, we considered it appropriate to improve existing projects and continue development along that path”

“We have observed certain positive shifts and growth in agriculture; however, whether these results are fully satisfactory is another matter. Accordingly, we deemed it appropriate to build on experience, refine existing projects, and advance development through this approach,” stated Mr Lasha Dolidze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

According to the Deputy Minister, the overarching objective can be structured around three key pillars. First, programs are becoming more unified and oriented toward an integrated approach. This means that beneficiaries, entrepreneurs, and rural residents seeking to implement projects will no longer need to rely on multiple separate financial instruments to assemble a single initiative. Instead, these mechanisms are consolidated under a single framework, significantly simplifying the process.

Second, programs must be clearly results-oriented. This entails strengthening the monitoring system from inception through completion, enabling precise measurement of the efficiency of allocated resources and the outcomes achieved across both time and scope.

Third, it is essential to address priorities for export growth, market entry, and position consolidation in existing markets. At the same time, certain sectors within the domain of food security require further improvement and targeted intervention.
