David Songulashvili: “Every issue must be adaptable to the environment. This is the only way when progress is possible. A decision made ten years ago cannot be expected to work today”

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture noted that in municipalities where melioration-related issues had been identified, relevant services were mobilized and dispatched to virtually all affected areas.

“If any agency is actively engaged with farmers, one of the most notable is the melioration service. Given evolving climatic conditions, water will become an even greater challenge. Therefore, the creation of reservoirs is crucial, and we already have plans in this regard. Circumstances are changing, and we must keep pace with them. Every issue must be adaptable to the environment—this is the only way development can occur. A decision made ten years ago cannot be expected to remain effective today.

We are facing entirely new realities, and we must adapt and respond swiftly and efficiently to achieve results and address emerging challenges. Where we fail to adapt to environmental conditions and evolving demands actively, we will merely follow problems rather than solve them—and that will become our reality,” Mr David Songulashvili stated.
