David Songulashvili: “It is important to develop an integrated value chain that will further strengthen Georgian products and enhance their competitiveness in the market.”
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr David Songulashvili, spoke about the agricultural development reform, emphasising the importance of making the sector more competitive and enabling it to play an increasingly significant role in the country’s economic development.
This, he noted, will contribute to import substitution and increase the export potential of Georgian products.
The Minister stressed that particular attention is being given not only to strengthening primary production but also to developing the processing sector and supporting storage and cold-chain infrastructure.
“It is important to develop an integrated value chain that will further strengthen Georgian products and enhance their competitiveness in the market,” said Mr David Songulashvili.
The ongoing agricultural reform aims to establish a modern, efficient, and sustainable agricultural sector.
