David Songulashvili: “Aquaculture and mariculture stand out as key sectors with strong development potential.”

According to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr David Songulashvili, the development of the agricultural sector remains one of the top priorities for the state. The Agricultural Co-Financing Program prioritizes the sectors with the highest growth potential.

 

“Special attention is given to the food security component. Priority is assigned to areas that support the expansion of local production, import substitution, and the strengthening of export potential. Given the country’s abundant natural resources, aquaculture and mariculture are sectors with considerable development potential. Beekeeping and other niche industries with high growth potential are also among the priority areas,” stated Mr David Songulashvili.
