Ministry and the Caucasus Nature Fund Sign the Two Grant Agreements

Two important Grant Agreements were signed between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF).

The Agreements were signed by the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, and National Director of the Caucasus Nature Fund, Mrs. Tea Barbakadze.

The mentioned Agreements provide funding for the operational expenses of the administrations of the Aragvi Protected Landscape and Truso Protected Landscape.

According to Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili, the Caucasus Nature Fund is a reliable partner of the state. The Fund’s long-term and consistent support plays an important role in strengthening the protected areas system, ensuring the effective functioning of protected landscape administrations, developing local capacities, and promoting the sustainable management of natural resources.

Notably, the project aims to support the effective management of protected landscapes, promote biodiversity conservation, and ensure the sustainable development of local ecosystems.

The representatives of the protected landscape administrations and relevant officials from the Ministry attended the meeting.
