David Songulashvili: “The sectoral council framework ensures that the reforms we implement are fully coordinated with the business sector.”
Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. David Songulashvili, spoke about the importance of cooperation with the private sector, noting that the Ministry has established a sectoral council format to ensure active and coordinated engagement with businesses.“We maintain active cooperation with the business sector and have established a sectoral council format under which we convene quarterly with representatives of the private sector and relevant industries. These meetings provide a structured platform for in-depth discussion of the current conditions and key challenges facing each sector.
This format enables us to maintain continuous communication with the private sector and ensures that the reforms we implement, as well as the outcomes we seek to achieve, are fully coordinated with businesses. Only through such cooperation can reforms become sustainable, effective, and tangible.
For this reason, the format has proven to be both highly valuable and effective. Businesses and industry representatives are given the opportunity to discuss the Ministry’s full range of services. If any decision or reform already implemented requires adjustment, we are fully prepared to make the necessary changes, and this format serves precisely that purpose,” Mr. Songulashvili stated.
