David Songulashvili Visits State-Supported Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility Nutrimax
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr David Songulashvili, visited Nutrimax LLC’s high-tech production facility in Ponichala. Accompanied by the State Representative of the Kvemo Kartli region, Mr Ilia Jalaghania, the Minister reviewed the company’s animal feed production capabilities and operations.Nutrimax LLC manufactures a wide range of compound feeds for livestock and poultry. The facility produces feed for cattle, small ruminants, and poultry, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes. Its products are supplied to the domestic market and exported to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.
The company is a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency and has utilised the state-supported Preferential Agrocredit Program on several occasions. The establishment of the facility and the acquisition of its advanced technological equipment were supported through government initiatives, including the Produce in Georgia program. The enterprise currently employs 200 people.
Notably, under the Preferential Agrocredit Program, a total of 115 agricultural loans over GEL 46 million have been issued nationwide to support the establishment and development of compound feed manufacturing facilities, while co-financing provided by the Rural Development Agency has exceeded GEL 10 million.
The Deputy Minister, Mr Lasha Avaliani; Head of the National Food Agency, Mr Giorgi Iakobashvili; Member of Parliament representing Marneuli, Mr Zaur Dargalli; and representatives of the local self-government authorities accompanied the Minister.
