David Songulashvili Honours Outstanding High School Graduates in the Kakheti Region
An award ceremony recognising outstanding high school graduates of the 2025–2026 academic year was held in Kakheti, organised by the Administration of the State Representative in Kakheti. The event was attended by the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr David Songulashvili, who congratulated the students on completing their school education and wished them continued success in higher education and professional development.
“Today, we celebrate the hard work and achievements of young people who have completed their 12-year educational journey and demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence deserve special recognition. Both society and the state must continue to support the development of young people and create greater opportunities for them to thrive. Educated and motivated youth are among the most important foundations of our country’s future development,” Mr David Songhulashvili stated.
The ceremony brought together 464 students from public schools across eight municipalities of the Kakheti region who were awarded gold and silver medals for academic excellence. The distinguished graduates will also receive one-time monetary awards in recognition of their achievements.
The initiative to honour outstanding graduates was launched in 2022 and has since become an annual tradition. Its primary objective is to encourage academic excellence, acknowledge students’ accomplishments, and promote the value of education among young people.
This annual recognition program continues to serve as an important platform for celebrating academic achievement and inspiring future generations to pursue excellence in education.
